RATTI Acquires RPR Brand

On the 13^th of December 2004 the RATTI Group, through its fully owned subsidiary RATTI Meccanotessile S.r.l., has acquired the right to use the brand name “RPR” and all of the facilities, (building and equipment located in Oggiono, Italy),  of the previous owner , OMR S.r.l.  OMR is now in liquidation and on January 20 filed for insolvency.  The RPR brand includes well recognized and established  texturing, twisting, and covering machinery.

All of the employees belonging to the departments of product development and design, after sales, spare parts, and manufacturing management have been hired by RATTI Meccanotessile.  These along with the hiring of the more experienced people from the factory make up about one-half of the previous OMR work force.  Accounting, financial, procurement, and EDP activities remain in the RATTI Meccanotessile Company.  Mr. Nando RIVA is a member of the board of RATTI Meccanotessile and will act as senior advisor for sales and product development

RATTI has named SYMTECH as the official distributor for the RPR branded machinery in the  US and Canada.  SYMTECH and RATTI are working together to provide continued support for the RPR machines currently in place in the US and Canada.  SYMTECH adds the representation of the RPR lines to those already represented from RATTI.
